Salem Radio Network Launches Fresh Midday Lineup with Alex Marlow and Scott Jennings
Media & Entertainment

Introduction to the New Lineup
Salem Media, Inc. announced the great changes coming to the Salem Radio Network (SRN) weekday lineup by revealing a brand new midday programming arrangement going live on Monday, January 5, 2026. The network decided to fill the brightly shining 12 p.m.–3 p.m. ET time slot with two hosts — Alex Marlow and Scott Jennings , after a single influential conservative broadcaster Charlie Kirk was occupying the time frame.
This is a clear signal of Salem rallying behind its spoken, word radio products and pledging to keep up the heritage of conservative talk radio.
Hosts and Time Allocations
As per the fresh itinerary:
Editorial Head of Breitbart News, Alex Marlow, will be the one to guide the listening audience during the hour of 12 p.m.–1 p.m. ET.
Scott Jennings, a CNN political commentator and a veteran conservative strategist, will host the 1 p.m.–3 p.m. ET block,
He will extend his current one-hour Salem program to two hours.
Jennings’ program is currently broadcasted in more than 173 radio stations across the U.S. and, with this new expanded schedule, it will be available to over 200 stations. In addition to that, the program is distributed through the Salem Podcast Network (SPN) and will be accessible for online listeners via the Salem News Channel (SNC) as a live video stream.
Legacy and Historical Context
It is well known that the midday block has served as the foundation of conservative talk radio over the last several decades, and the core figures that have been involved in the block include Rush Limbaugh on one hand and Charlie Kirk on the other. Salem maintains that the new lineup is a perfect fit that keeps up with the custom while still providing new voices and perspectives.
According to Phil Boyce, Senior Vice President of Content at Salem Media, the network is committed to conservative listeners and after thinking through it, actually considers that Marlow and Jennings would be the ones to take up this important time slot and lead it forward.
Continuity and Podcast Presence
Although the radio format for The Charlie Kirk Show will no longer be available on SRN, the show will be accessible as a podcast on the Salem Podcast Network in collaboration with Turning Point USA. Even after the transition, Salem Media will be handling the show's advertising time and will be its representative.
The two, Marlow and Jennings, are no strangers to the Salem community of fans as they both have been featured in podcasts and radio segments. Starting from November 2024, Marlow's show was originally a podcast and now it will be supplemented with additional weekly podcast-only episodes, thereby increasing the amount of content available for the audience.
Forward Outlook
The changes happening in the midday lineup metaphorically represent a Jules Verne novel for SRN as they keep adjusting their strategy in accordance with audience preferences and media trends. To fill the void, Marlow and Jennings have a wealth of experience, knowledge, and an express assignment, i.e., to have the conservative audience not only listen to them but also inevitably engage, through their radio commentary, analysis, and debate, in a highly competitive radio landscape.
