NJIT Students Get Memorialized by a Scholarship in Honor of a Radix IoT Developer

Scholarship Created to Honor a Tech Professional
Several students from the New Jersey Institute of Technology have received scholarships established by the technology company Radix IoT. The award honors the memory of DailenisGonzález Frómeta, a lead software developer at the company who passed away in October 2024.
The scholarship program provides financial assistance to students who study technology-related fields which include computer science and cybersecurity and software engineering programs.
Supporting the Next Generation of Engineers
The scholarship program distributes a total of $30,000 among selected students. The awards were given to fourteen students who studied at two different universities. From ULACIT, which Frómeta attended, eleven students received awards while three students came from NJIT.
The initiative recognizes students who demonstrate strong academic performance and financial need. Radix IoT supports these students because they want to motivate talented individuals to pursue technology and engineering careers.
Keeping a Legacy Alive
Company leaders established the scholarship to honor Frómeta's professional dedication and her quest for excellence. According to Radix IoT CEO Fred Dirla, the company hopes the program will teach students to work like Frómeta because of her dedication and technology expertise.
The scholarship recipients represent the kind of students the company hopes to encourage—motivated learners who are interested in building innovative technology solutions.
Collaboration with Universities
Both participating universities helped select the recipients. Faculty members reviewed applications and identified students who showed strong academic ability and commitment to their chosen field. The New Jersey Institute of Technology accepted financial assistance because it wanted to help students who pursue careers in expanding technology fields.
Expanding Opportunities for Students
Scholarships like this play an important role in helping students complete their education and pursue professional goals. Financial assistance becomes essential for students who face challenges with demanding and expensive technology programs.
Radix IoT uses educational programs to honor Frómeta through Frómeta's work as an inventor and her contributions to society.
The scholarship program reflects a broader effort within the technology industry to encourage education and create opportunities for the next generation of engineers and developers.
