Acentra Health Creates New Executive Role to Strengthen Technology Leadership
A healthcare firm known as Acentra Health has appointed Michael Kingston as their first ever Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO). This is a major move taken by the organization in its endeavor to improve its digital and artificial intelligence in providing healthcare services.
The creation of the position of CDIO is done in an effort to underscore the constant growth and development of Acentra Health in its use of technology while providing its healthcare solutions to both the public and commercial sectors.
Leadership Role Focused on AI and Digital Transformation
Kingston's role will include overseeing a range of critical areas, such as product development, artificial intelligence, analytics, enterprise data, information services, cybersecurity, and enterprise architecture, among others, as Chief Digital & Information Officer.
Kingston's first and foremost task will be to implement the technology road map of Acentra Health while focusing on increasing automation, use of AI, and other digital technologies. This would help the firm modernize its health care technology platform.
The new role of Chief Digital & Information Officer has been created against the backdrop of growing need of digital technology and advanced analytics in the health sector.
Experienced Technology Executive Joins the Company
Prior to joining Acentra Health, Kingston worked as Managing Director and Chief Information Officer for the Americas region of The Carlyle Group’s Global Portfolio Solutions division. In his tenure at Carlyle, Kingston collaborated extensively with the leaders of Acentra Health on various strategies starting from 2022. This made him aware of all the business strategies and processes followed at Acentra Health.
In the earlier part of his career, Kingston worked as the head of technology at L’Oréal, Neiman Marcus, Coach, Ann Inc., and LVMH. During all his stints, Kingston drove various initiatives like enterprise technology modernization, digital product development, customer experience strategy, and data-driven automation. His career started as a software developer at Castrol North America.
CEO Highlights Importance of Technology Investment
The announcement about the appointment of Chief Digital & Information Officer was made by Todd Stottlemyer, CEO at Acentra Health, who stated that the establishment of this post is an indicator of the company’s willingness to innovate and invest in technology.
As pointed out by Stottlemyer, the rich experience of Mr. Kingston in the sphere of digital transformation initiatives is expected to become the cornerstone in further development of Acentra’s technology capabilities.

Kingston is a graduate of William Paterson University, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He is also a board member of Tribute Technology and was formerly an advisory board member of World Leaders in Data & AI (WLDA).

This will help the company gain more strength as the demand for technology-based health care services increases.
