He identified the opportunity to use technology in enhancing healthcare practices. “Although the practices were clinically well managed, we quickly realized that these groups utilized extremely inefficient billing processes, and there was a significant opportunity for system automation,” adds Sam.
Making most of Opportunity
After talking to some of the original customers, the team realized the opportunity to optimize their workflows. “If we can imagine it, they can do it,” was feedback from one of the early customers of ImagineSoftware. This is the beginning of the name ImagineSoftware. Healthcare is complex and the manual processes lack in offering quality. Imagine Software used the manufacturing mindset to automate the process and create a platform. Though the initial clients spanned across multiple healthcare specialties, Sam spotted that there were significant complexities in radiology. This presented an opportunity for positive disruption. The team doubled its efforts in the radiology space and swiftly grew in the marketplace.
Sam believes that the revenue cycle management should be automated and the users should not perform mundane tasks. Making this the company’s core principle in 2000 and remains the DNA of the company till today.
