How One Business Solved the Challenge of Saving Water Through Their Innovative Green Technology
20 Best Companies to Watch of 2021
Vortex CHC has been recognized as one of the 20 Best Companies to Watch of 2021 by The Executive Headlines
Vortex CHC, LLC is truly driven by its mission statement— "Earning trust and respect of consumers all around the world is through consistent focus on delivering high quality in all of our actions." No one in the market was targeting an environmentally friendly water treatment technology used in HVAC, process cooling, and refrigeration systems, and the company wanted to specialize in that.
Our goal is the be the leading non-chemical equipment provider for cooling water, agriculture, and greywater in the continental U.S.
Here's how we brought Vortex's philosophy to life and delivered it to people across the country.
Vortex CHC knew that customers wanted a supplier who removed all the chemicals, and for that reason, Vortex created the WRMA Water Treatment Rental and Maintenance Agreement. They install and maintain all the equipment while providing the monthly asset and water reports. Through the process of CHC (Controlled Hydrodynamic Cavitation), chemicals are removed, which increases Cycles of Concentration allowing water savings by 25% and sewer savings by more than 50%.
Below are the highlights of the interview conducted between The Executive Headlines and Gregg Montgomery, President and CEO of Vortex CHC to know more about the company and services.
What challenges did you face in the initial years? What can your peers learn from it?
The customers initially did not believe that a simple technology of CHC and Filtration could save them expense as they are bombarded by misleading information from other suppliers that rely on chemicals or unproven devices.
How successful was your first project roll on? Share the experience.
A well-known commercial bakery in South Texas needed water savings, but they did not have the budget to take on the standard capital equipment required to save water. They reached out to Vortex CHC, who promptly took on the responsibility to install their innovative CHC technology using the WRMA on five large evaporative condensers. Five years down the road, the bakey has saved millions of gallons of water while using zero chemicals. The previous equipment of R.O. and water softeners and chemicals have been discontinued.
What kind of mixed responses have you received from your consumers over the years? How have they motivated you to shape your offerings/grow the company?
Vortex CHC faces most of its challenges in the Light Commercial and Industrial segment, where most companies are swayed by Big Chemical, which has worked moderately well for these industries in the past. But these industries fail to realize that they are paying very high chemical fees, water and sewer cost in the long run with less return of investment on the longevity of their equipment. Vortex CHC, on the other hand, provides companies an environmentally safe, GREEN technology that will pay itself back in 15-30 months and for the years to come.
Fostering a culture of feedback is crucial to the success of every organization. How is this true with your company?
To build trust and credibility, every customer is provided with the CEO's direct cell number and an open invitation to ring him at any time with any doubt or concern. A member of their executive team is sent on every single installation and commissioning process. It is not just a slogan for them but an inherent belief that the customer must experience top-down and bottom-up support!
About the adaptability, how do you stay relevant to the consumer interests and needs in this high volatile market?
The success of Vortex CHC has been established by them focusing on a narrow market, acknowledging their strengths, and improving on the areas they are weak. Vortex CHC never stops innovating to provide its customers with the first opportunity to implement the latest green technology. Vortex CHC Recently Automated the IN-Line Pump Strainers with Auto Clean Out Reducing the need for daily inspection and reducing wear and tear on pumps.
How do you and your company contribute to the global IT platform and society at large?
Our goal is to challenge ourselves to convince another organization to remove harmful chemicals from the global effluent stream. Their team believes that they can help the world by eliminating chemicals from the water stream one day at a time.
Do you have any new products or services ready to be/getting ready to be launched?
Vortex CHC will soon be launching a major Carbon Free Treatment for Farm and Agriculture effluent streams Their aim is to 100% of the daily organic effluent from cows, pigs, chickens, and fish farms.
